Authors
I follow a lot of authors who are both interesting and nice. Here I list them out for you to see including their names, links to their social media and websites, and some of their fiction books.
Have any suggestions to add? Let me know!
J.R.R. Tolkien

Why is John Ronald Reuel Tolkien my favorite author? He's written some of the greatest fantasy literature such as the Lord of the Rings trilogy and my favorite of all time, The Hobbit. Also, knowing 20 languages and creating 14 of his own for his books is pretty epic! If you're an Audible fan, I recommend listening to the unabridged versions of the LotR and The Hobbit by Rob Inglis. Those are the best!

Shana Dow

Shana Dow has posted a lot of author encouragements as well as fascinating teasers for her own stories. She writes fantasy suspense stories such as the Keepers of the Balance (The third book of which, Portal, is coming out soon!).

Dr. Geoffrey Reiter

One of my professors at Lancaster Bible College and a friend of mine, Dr. Reiter is a huge fan of stories ranging from Lovecraft's horror, to Beagle's The Last Unicorn, to Star Trek, and beyond. He's written many article concerning Christianity and pop culture as well as some poetry and short stories that have been published. I recommend you give his articles and stories a read as he's very insightful with anything concerning literature.

Heather Pruitt

Heather (otherwise known as H.A. Pruitt) frequently interacts with her audience and posts images of her cute guinea pigs. Usually, a word of exhortation comes along with these posts and makes her an uplifting person to follow. She's a fantasy writer and has published Anelthalien and Earth Quaking.

C. R. Sedore

Despite the multiple disabilities afflicting her, C. R. Sedore shows great faith in God and continually shares helpful advice with writing and character development on her Instagram. I highly recommend following her for her advice. She's also authentic and uplifting. She's currently working on fantasy young adult novels and novellas.
H.P. (Howard Philips) Lovecraft

Known prominently for writing "The Call of Cthulhu" and other weird horror/science fiction stories, H.P. Lovecraft also has an expansive vocabulary and a dislike for humans as shown in his stories. Yet, I still appreciate and enjoy his works for what they are and I recommend giving them a read. Though, I should warn you, he doesn't skimp on the gruesome (and long) details of his monstrosities.

Rick Riordan

Affectionately named "Uncle Rick" by his fans and famous for his Percy Jackson series, Riordan also assists other writers in creating stories akin to his own with a service call "Riordan Presents." He's also written The Kane Chronicles, and the Heroes of Olympus series which are two of my favorites! Check those out as well as Daughter of the Deep, his most recent book on his website and Riordan Reads.
Philip K. Dick

You've probably seen a TV show or movie that was adapted from one of Dick's works. Minority Report, The Man in the High Castle, Total Recall, and Screamers are all based off of his books. Some of my favorite stories from Dick are "Beyond Lies the Wub," "Sales Pitch," and "Exhibit Piece." Give his tales a read, but beware the twists at the end!
