Matthias, an autistic nineteen-year-old, has struggled with making friends all his life. Now he is in his freshman year at college.
And Matthias is alone.
His family is far away, and he has no friends. Not even one. But a chance encounter delivers two people into his life which begins a budding friendship.
However, on the same day, he discovers another world. One very different from his own. There, beasts talk, fawns prance, warriors clash with swords, and a fallen king pursues revenge. Yet there, Matthias finds comfort beyond imagination and relief from the trials of his friendships.
Matthias must choose to endure the struggles of bonding with Taliyah and Gael on Earth or join the battle to defend Silverlode from the terror of Zurox the traitor king.

"I really enjoyed reading "The Silver Hand". It is a fun and easy read for anyone who wants to know what life is like for someone who has autism. I could easily see this book being a part of a school curriculum. Aside from helping the audience to understand someone that has autism, the fantasy aspect as well as the humorous conversations that Matthias has with himself in his head make for a fun and casual read.
